Wolves FA Cup Run Meander Over
By: Daryl | February 18th, 2008
Nothing wrong with making the last 16 of the FA Cup, but since we didn’t really beat anyone on the way it was all a bit pointless. Cardiff City finally put us out of our cup misery with a 2-0 at Ninian Park, including a glorious goal from Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink. Great fake, turn and top corner move. Apologies for the shoddy YouTube vid. Someone clearly recorded MoTD with their camcorder. But still, it’s better than trying to watch the highlights via this misleading bit of spam.
Actually the misery doesn’t end there. West Brom (boo) beat Coventry 5-0 and then drew Bristol Rovers in the quarterfinal. So now West Brom are way ahead of us in the league and have a good shot at making an FA Cup semi-final. And the misery continues in the league Tuesday night with a home game against bottom of the table Scunthorpe. Anything less than a win is a disaster, but since it’s already February and Wolves are way down in 12th I’m starting to think it doesn’t really matter anyway. Sigh.
