Wolves Video Highlights – Promotion 2009
By: Toby | April 19th, 2009Right, first off to anyone from Wolves or involved with the club in anyway I’d like to firstly say that yes, this is a video of the game which got Wolves promoted, and that no, I’m not charging people to watch it, because it’s one of the finest moments in recent Wolves history and frankly the idea of making a Wolves fan pay to see it, simply because they’re not living in England is so abhorrent and mean spirited that it really does get to me. So this is for you, the fan who has stuck with the Wolves through very thick and indeed, very thin. That simply because you can’t go to every game, that it doesn’t mean that your heart wasn’t in your mouth for 90 minutes on Saturday, that you felt every kick of every minute. Football doesn’t always have to be about money or who’s swinging the biggest wodge of cash infront of your nose, it’s about the fans. Just like those guys who ran onto the pitch on Saturday at full time, it wasn’t what the club wanted them to do, but it’s what their heart told them was right to do as a passionate fan. Likewise, with passion for my team in my heart I present to you the highlights of the game which saw Wolves promoted back to the Premier League.

Tis true. Women are bad influences.
and yes, I’m going to have to stop linking to you. The other blogs will get jealous. It’s just that I’ve gotten caught up in the competing story lines: First, Wolves moving up, and second, “We don’t want your stinkin’ internet publicity!” The bipolar nature that is English football, all in one blog.
But to be honest, your blog is doing quite well without the help. You were the #6 page on the site yesterday for the past 30 day. Well done.

How much more revenue does a club get for being in the Premier League? I mean TV revenues as an example?

Dear Toby,
What a day, what a season, and hat a web page you put out.
Thank you for all your hard work keeping us expats in touch with outclub. I listen to every match here in Spain on Wolves World. Sometime I feel a bit cheated having to pay to listen when all my family and fiends back there either go, or listen free on Beacon. But what the hell you can’t take it with you. I have been a Wolves supporter since my father took me to the Honved game under floodlights longer ago than I wish to remember. At last a team with passion and players even now who might wake up a few premier teams. Just need to add a few real quality experienced premier players.
Good look with the web site and keep up the excellent work.Posted from

I would have thought at least £8m to get him back.

Call me a pessimist but I just don’t think this has got legs. From what I’ve ever read about Mancienne, he’s blue through and through – his boyhood dream has been to partner JT. Having said that, if Guus isn’t a fan, then you never know!!

Toby; finding this site has been a godsend to me. I rely on you for my highlights of each game and I enjoy your previews and reviews. Between you and the E&S website I have been able to closely follow this amazing season from 7500kms away. You’re a good lad – keep it coming.

Thanks for everything Toby, have really enjoyed the season as well as your coverage on this page, good work and good luck with everything in your life, By the way regardless of what team Mancienne would like to be with, I’ll bet he would just like to play not warm benches, Wolves can at least offer that, the blues might not.

I’d love to see Mancienne at the Mol, maybe a loan would be more likely, but ultimately if that did happen, we’d be even less likely to get him permanently, I say go high, chance our arm at 6-8 Million, if Anton Ferdinand can fetch as much Mancienne has to be worth it? When you consider we’re also linked with a 7million pound move for Ledley I know who I’d rather have!…Well I’d rather have both to be honest but that’s not the issue.

Richard, followed the link on your name, is that your photography? It’s bloody brilliant! What beautiful landscapes! Do you sell your work?

Thanks Toby I appreciate that, yes I do sell them there are prices on the site but I can give you a deal email me if there is one you like in particular

Ah bless you Richard but I think even with a deal we’d be in money leagues far outreaching that of a sterotypical skint student! They’re lovely though! Nova Scotia looks amazing!

Ha Ha I know exactly what your saying I was just thinking myself how am I ever going to afford upgrading my photography equipment on a photographers salary.

Do you need to upgrade? I was just showing my girlfriend your shots and her jaw hit the floor! Well, in the summer when we move to a new house and if….if I can get this job I’ve got an interview for on monday I might get back to you!! Hah!

Good luck on the Interview. In collage we did training for the psychological interviews. If they ask you, “If you could be any animal what would you be?” Say Dolphin cause there the smartest. I still blew it on my first interview out when they asked me, “What is your dream job?” After I answered he looked at me and said “So whats that got to do with this Job.” It, of course had nothing to do with it.

Dolphin? I’ll remember that one, and I’ll try not to say my dream job is something completely different to the job in mind! Hah, thanks!
