Soooooo it looks like we’re one of two clubs going in for Fortune who made a massive impact at the shit towards the end of the season? Any views? I think he could be a good signing for us as he has alot of skill and determination to win

£8 mill for Huddlestone though, and I’m not really a fan of Alan Smith. I think we will pay up for quality players but im glad for the moment that we aren’t considering huge payments for average players. huddlestone for £4-5 mill max!

My point was more in terms of what the clubis saying about not forking out for the likes of Huddlestone, Alan Smith (who I think would slot in nicely at Molineux) et al. I’m personally all in favour of clubs taking ‘their’ time to find the right targets, but just wondering if the club will set itself a super tough task with too rigid a transfer policy. If we’re looking at sticking with young and hungry with the addition of ‘Premiership experience’, there’s surely a premium to pay for that type of talent…

how can we ’splash the cash’ yet. championship has only just ended, as has the premiership and most of the european leagues. clubs take there time looking for players, players take there time to wait to hear what clubs are interested. I wouldnt be suprised if we didnt sign anyone until mid july!
