Wolves make their first Premiership Signing.

By: Toby | June 15th, 2009

Wolves have…wait for it. SIGNED A PLAYER. Oh joy, now all the naysayers and doom and gloom merchants of the internet and your local can sit the hell back down and stop complaining that we’re wasting time and “making the same mistakes as last time” it’s taken it’s time, granted, but Mick has pulled a hell of a signing out of the bag with Nenad Milijas joining despite interest from a host of clubs ranging from Roma, Aston Villa and everyone in between. But he’s chosen us, and that’s got to say something about our intent this season, a few more additions to the squad and I’ll be let a slight glimmer of hope enter my mind when we kick off in August.

With a cracking left foot (see below) this lad could well be the bite in the midfield which we’ve been missing at times this season, he certainly seems the kind of player we could do with.

Exciting times! Here’s hoping for more posts like this one then eh?

Awesome. And is that Ramstein providing the music? They should definitely play that when he starts hitting in a few screamers. “BANG BANG!”.

Well done JM and MM. Here’s hoping he comes good.

I had a dream last night that we beat ManU 2-0 in the first game of the season, with a mystery new signing, who looked a lot like Milijas (probably), scoring a screamer from 25 yards and Kightly getting the second.

Just off to the bookies to put the house and kids’ inheritance on it. I’d strongly advise you all do the same.

Glad that we’ve decided to step into the market. Also, those shirts don’t look as orange as they did the first time around!

Oh, and when are we going to move to the Premiership section? We’re there on the Beeb, had the official raising of the flag, when do we get the Offside paperwork through?

Hmm…a foreigner with no premiership experience and billed as having “a sweet left foot” to strengthen us for the our assault on the prem….

Am i the only 1 having flashbacks of the whole “Silas” affair? :(

He doesn’t look nearly as confused as Silas did in his signing photo.

Off topic, just been watching The Confederations Cup-USA v Italy. Onyewu had a shocker, looked a mile out of his depth, sooooo glad we missed out on this one.

So I’ve heard, he was always going to go to appeal, he’s not played enough international games, shouldn’t be a problem though!

Apparently Milijas might have work permit problems due to a drink-driving conviction…

…although fingers crossed this is just the E&S over-reacting.
