Wolves 1 – 2 Middlesbore – The Eón dream is over….for this year at least, and indeed, at most.
By: Toby | January 24th, 2009Two goals changed the course of our afternoon today, no, not the two which Middlesbore scored against us, the two which Blackpool managed to get against Birmingham. By completely throwing away their game in hand, we now lie equal on games, and seven points clear of third, with far superior goal difference in our favour. It was a mission accomplished type of afternoon really, we managed to bow out not all that ungracefully, keep our lead at the top of the table, while also resting some key players for next week’s game against Reading.
Elsewhere in the heady world of Wolves gossip and news, we’ve signed Quashie for the remainder of the season (another name I’ll have to tell my word spell check to ignore) which I personally think is a great bit of business, a know a lot of Wolves fans are throwing their hands up to the air in desperation by the lack of movement in the transfer window so far, but with Quashie we’ve got a seasoned professional who’s been there, done that, and quite literally been round the block a few times, he’ll certainly be on hand to dish out his fair share of bollockings to put it bluntly.
Elsewhere Mark Davies has decided to ignore the fact that we’ve stood by him for years during his injury plagued fledgling career and “do a Bullard” on us, by being a little bastard and handing in a transfer request because he’s been having a few decent games in league one, Bolton are in for him, and as their ass man is our old director of youth development it all kind of makes sense. Best of luck to him, I’m sure if he can stay fit he’ll do well, he’s a talented young man, with the possibility he’ll play for England one day certainly not out of the question. He’s obviously not got that key trait with makes players great though…which would be loyalty.
Ah well, I’ll get you some highlights up soon!

im shocked at Davies for someone who is apparently Wolves through and through this is pretty shocking especially when you consider the time we have invested in him. It would be a shame to lose such a talented player without really seeing any of him but good luck to him and like you say he severely lacks loyalty and possibly even maturity if this is anything to go by.

He’s coming across as a bit of a weasel to be fair. Which is a huge shame.
