Southampton, Scoring and Shouting
By: Daryl | March 6th, 2008
Good news bad news from Wolves 2-2 draw against Southampton on Tuesday.
Good news: Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored both goals. Add that to his winning goal against Colchester last weekend and Wolves might finally have themselves a reliable goalgetter. We all thought it was going to be Freddie Eastwood, but Ebanks-Blake will do nicely. Cheers Plymouth.
Bad news: Mick McCarthy and his old buddy Gary Breen had a huge barney after the game. Seems McCarthy blamed Breen for Jason Euell’s 94th minute equalizer and Breen disagreed. No punches were thrown, but apparently the dressing room doors were locked while the two Irishmen yelled at each other.

Any truth to the rumors I’ve been hearing linking Paul Ince to Wolves? I’ve heard whispers for a while that he was looking to move up to the Championship, but those whispers seem to be getting louder, and involving Wolves a lot more, than before.

Still just rumours. But I remember Ince expecting to be offered the job after Hoddle left and leaving in a huff when he wasn’t. I don’t see how Wolves can rebuild their bridges with him, unless they’re prepared to be very humble.

Enjoy SEB while you got him - he’s up in court presently and apparently Plymouth CID are determined to see him do time for glassing a doorman. “An example needs to be made” were the exact words reported to me.
You could have got 150-1 on him being the CCC leading scorer in May. I nearly had a tenner on it…..

Looks like Wolves are making a nice little run. One point out of the playoffs with a game in hand on Plymouth. Not bad at all.
